February 2026 Deadines

• Dr. Bobby Fletcher Sr. Memorial Scholarship
  The award amount ranges from $500 to $1,500. A minimum high school GPA of 2.5 is required.

  ACT scores with a composite of 23 or higher and TOPS core curricula GPA of 3.0; applicant must apply to LSU.

  Women who are high school seniors, in college, and who are continuing education are eligible to apply.

  A $2,000 scholarship. All requirements of the application must be turned into Ms. Francis.

April 2026 Deadlines

• Coast Guard Scholarships
  Scholarship for Children of Active-Duty, Retired or Active Reserve Coast Guard Commissioned Officers.
  Successful applicants can expect an award from $2,500 to $5,000.

  $1,000 scholarship for tuition; must be a Firemen’s Federal Credit Union member

  Students must enroll, full-time, at Louisiana State University, for the Fall 2026 term.

What is TOPS?

The Taylor Opportunity Program for Students (TOPS) is a program of state merit-based scholarships for Louisiana residents who attend either one of the Louisiana Public Colleges and Universities, schools that are a part of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, Louisiana approved Proprietary and Cosmetology Schools or institutions that are a part of the Louisiana Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.

1. A parent or guardian physically checks you out in person.
2. You have a confirmed school-related sports event the following morning (verification from the school is required).
