Dress Code

•     Leggings, yoga pants, joggers and tights are allowed as long as the length of the shirt/blouse/dress is at or below the hands.
•     Sport shorts may be worn as long as they meet the length requirements as dictated in the District Handbook.  
•     Breaks in materials are allowed as long as no skin is visible. Breaks in the jeans cannot be excessive.
•     No over-sized garments
•     The display of signs or symbols on the person of a student, which could create a disturbance at school, is prohibited.
•     All shirts must be long enough to cover midriff area
•     Hair arranged in a manner detrimental to the performance of normal educational activities will be prohibited.
•     Undergarments must be covered at all times.
•     Pants must be secured at the waist.
•     No ornamentation, i.e., chains, spikes, metal studs, etc., may be worn on clothing or body.
•     Solid white undershirts, tank tops, spaghetti strap shirts may not be worn as outerwear.
•     Shirts must have sleeves that cover the shoulders.
•     No scrubs may be worn, except for interns. 
•     Hair must clear the line of sight.
•     1 nose ring is allowed.
•     Unacceptable items:  pajamas, flannel bottoms, sheer clothing, PE uniform (except during PE)

•     Hats and/or headscarves are not permitted on campus during regular school hours.  These items will be confiscated.
•     Hoods may only be worn outside of the building during inclement weather as determined by and announced by school administration.

•     Pierced ears and ONE STUD in the nose are the only forms of body piercing allowed at FHS. No circular rings or horseshoe rings are allowed in the nose or septum. Extremes will not be tolerated. Students will be referred to the Assistant Principal for Discipline.

The Administration reserves the right to take any steps, at any time, which in their judgment is necessary for the wellbeing of the students and for maintaining the standards of the school.  Any procedure, rule or regulation preceding this clause is also subject to this clause.
