Caroline Kieffer - Algebra I - 5th place
Courtney Smith – English I – 3rd place
Gregory Lewis – World geography – 4th place
Soojin Lee – Geometry – 4th place
Amanda Killen – French I – 1st Place
Zachary Redman – Agriculture Science I - 2nd place
- There are approximately six weeks left in the school year. Please encourage your daughter/son to do their best by remaining focused on their school work. I recommend that each student continue to study 30 minutes for each core subject (English, math, science, social studies) Sunday night through Thursday.
- The Class of 2014 must pass three End of Course (EOC) tests in the following categories: English II or English III, Algebra I or Geometry, and Biology or American History. The EOC tests will replace the Graduation Exit Examination (GEE) for graduation purposes. The EOC tests are designed to measure whether students have mastered the knowledge, skills, and abilities at the end of courses. The content of the assessments is based on Grade Level Expectations (GLEs). There are four achievement levels students can score on the End-of-Course exams: Excellent, Good, Fair and Needs Improvement. Students are required to score Fair or above on EOC English II or English III, Algebra I or Geometry, and Biology or American History to be eligible for a standard high school diploma. Students with disabilities who have passed two of the three required EOC assessments and have exhausted all opportunities prior to the end of their senior year may request to have the required third EOC test waived by the State Superintendent of Education if the Louisiana Department of Education determines the student's disability significantly impacts his or her ability to pass the EOC exam.
- Summer school information is on the St. Tammany Parish School Board website and in the school counseling office.
